Awakening Breathwork journey is a powerful emotional, wounding and trauma release process and therefore it’s important to be well prepared.
What to Expect from Awakening Breathwork:Â
An Awakening Breathwork Journey results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release.Â
Please be aware that these sessions are safe, illuminating, transformative and deeply healing, and can sometimes cause the following:
- Tingling
- Buzzing
- Vibrating
- Trembling, shaking or other physical sensations, including spontaneous physical movement
- Tetany (tightness in the hands or sometimes the jaw- we will guide you on how to work with it and manually release it if required)
- Somatic (body) unwinding
- Deep emotional experiencing, release and catharsis
- Trauma release
- Experiencing life force energy (prana) moving through your body
- Unlocking repressed sensual/orgasmic/shakti energies
- Ecstatic, kundalini awakenings (usually for more advanced journeyers)
How to Prepare:
- Do not drink coffee or alcohol the day of your journey.Â
- Do not eat food 2 hours prior to the journey (no food after 6 pm).
- Eat light on the day as stay well hydrated.
- Wear loose comfortable clothing, no bras or belts.
- Shower before your journey and cleanse your Aura and energy body with Sage or Palo Santo.
- Set yourself up on your bed or yoga mat without a pillow under your head, you may use a pillow or bolster under the knees.
- Have your laptop plugged into a power source and headphones available.
- Download Zoom and Spotify.
- You may wish to use an eye mask.
Also, ensure you will not be disturbed during the journey. Put your phone on do not disturb, inform others in your household to not interrupt you, place a notice on your door. If you have close neighbors put a note on your front door that you are in a session and to not be disturbed.Â

A breathwork journey is a big detox on the physical, emotional and spiritual level.
You may feel amazing afterwards, however, you may feel the following which is all very normal.
- Unable to sleep
- Overly emotional, crying or angry
- Body aches and pain
- Headache or feeling sick
- Fatique, depressed or anxious for no reason.
These are all symptoms of you healing and can be known as a Healing Crisis or Dark night of the Soul.
Please be gently on yourself and reach out for help.
