Sita is a somatic yoga teacher, bodyworker, and guide whose work is rooted in deep listening, gentleness, and embodied awareness.
Raised in the wide open landscapes of Montana, Sita spent much of her early life on horseback, immersed in nature and the quiet intelligence of the land. Surrounded by animals, vast skies, and the rhythm of the natural world, she developed an early sensitivity to presence, intuition, and the unspoken language of the body. These formative years cultivated a deep respect for stillness, attunement, and the grounding wisdom that comes from living in close relationship with nature — qualities that continue to shape her work today.
Her journey with yoga began in 2008, after many years of searching for a practice that could offer the same sense of connection, presence, and intimacy with the body that she had experienced through dance as a child. Discovering yoga became a turning point — one that not only supported her physically, but opened a pathway into deeper self‑awareness and inner stillness.
In 2011, Sita completed her teacher training with senior teacher and co‑founder of YogaHealth, Lee Harold. Since then, her teaching has evolved into a deeply attuned, trauma‑aware approach that honours the intelligence of the body and the importance of moving at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
Sita offers gentle Hatha‑based practices grounded in the understanding that when the body feels supported and at ease, true opening can occur. Her classes invite students to move slowly, listen inwardly, and explore sensation as a doorway to presence. Movement becomes a form of meditation — one that encourages curiosity, self‑compassion, and a deepening relationship with the inner world.
Her work is informed by ongoing devotion to her teachers and their teachers before them, with deep gratitude for the wisdom passed down through lineage and lived experience. She holds a strong respect for the unfolding of consciousness and the quiet power of embodied practice.
In addition to her yoga teaching, Sita is a qualified massage therapist, an end‑of‑life doula, and a Level 2 ITA Energy Medicine practitioner. These modalities weave together to support her gentle, grounded, and compassionate approach — holding space for people at all stages of life with presence, care, and integrity.
Sita’s work is an invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the innate intelligence of the body — where clarity, healing, and deep connection naturally arise.
